Solar And Wind Power Plus other alternative energy sources

Alternative energy sources – solar and wind power, among others, have taken more popularity through the years. People are increasingly concerned about the domestic energy savings, technologically advanced and more environmentally friendly. So what exactly are the advantages and disadvantages of these alternative energy sources?

Solar, tidal, Hydro, geothermal and Ocean Thermal energy: Pro
• Wind and solar Power, among other alternative energy sources, renewable, always present and does not give off pollution.

• Sources of hydropower and geothermal demonstrate high power production efficiency.

• Geothermal and hydroelectric sources are known to produce really cheap rates kw/h.

• Ocean thermal and tidal energy sources can be major sources and therefore can be expected to produce huge amounts of electricity.

Solar, tidal, Hydro, geothermal and Ocean Thermal energy: the cons
• Low energy production efficiency for solar and wind power systems; They must be constructed in the grander scale for them to be producing more electricity.

• Power generation systems need to produce energy from alternative sources usually require high initial investments.

• For autonomous systems, equipment needed electricity produced archive also costly and potentially unsafe.

• Hydro systems can cause the accumulation of sediment and eradicate the species present in the area where the system is operational. Furthermore hydropower systems and tide can change the environment.

• Geothermal is not renewable.

• Wind power systems could prove eyesores and noise pollution.

We hope that with the evolution of the technologies, these disadvantages will be deleted if not reduced so that use of these alternative energy sources will become increasingly popular.
