Solar power, does anyone know of a way DIY to make a solar collector and transfer energy in batteries?

I want to learn solar and how some panels on my house, of course, with a reasonable budget. My goal is to be able to run a refrigerator and a battery fan. All ideas out there?

If your goal is to save money, it will be difficult to do with solar energy. Can succeed in some circumstances, but a fridge and a fan of power is an improbable. However, if your goal is to know about this type of configuration, you can get a kit of charging port (say) a few hundred dollars, that (almost) a battery of car for a period of a couple of weeks. The energy could feed a ventilator for several hours. You can learn about solar energy even just watching the web. In this way, you have to spend any money at all. Our solar system is documented in http://www.angelfire.com/ca2/roderick/solar/photovoltaic.html said, there are ways to save energy. A water heater solar water usually pays for itself over time, depending on where you live. You can buy a kit to fit the existing water heater for maybe $ 2000 or less. Also, if your refrigerator is old, simply switch to a new, extremely efficient model can save a third, maybe even 2/3 of energy.
