Since Al Gore's documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" hit the conscience of the world, local governments and groups of citizens have become more vocal in complex of renewable alternatives. A source of highly profitable course into parts of the United States is solar energy. A State that the position taken by citizens to have the opportunity to do their part is Arizona. In June 2007, Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard, in favour of new requirements which would force the utilities and their customers to get at least 15 percent of their energy from renewable sources by 2025.
The approval means that the Arizona Corporation Commission may require that these new measures will be met by the companies it regulates utility. This includes the following utilities electricity pubis and Tucson Arizona Public Service Company (APS). Salt River project (SRP) is controlled by the Arizona State legislature. Utility company will begin to invest more in renewable energy sources. Customers will be charged for participating in the new guidelines imposed. Additional costs for the consumer will be 35 cents per month on their phone bill. An energy expert said that adding this supplement to the Bill is the best way to ramp up renewable energy program in Arizona.
Democratic Governor Janet Napolitano joined the Governors of California, Oregon, New Mexico, Utah and programs to make utility with headquarters in Washington in an array to create the market and their customers curb carbon emissions by 15 percent over 2005 levels. In September, six green bills take effect after State lawmakers approve them and Governor Napolitano has signed the law.
Solar power for residential home just a boost with the passage of Arizona SB 1254 State Bill passed the House and the Senate in Arizona, at the end of September 2007. The new law will make it illegal for an Association of home owners stop the owner of a House to put solar panels on their property. The Bill was sponsored by Paradise Valley Republican Barbara Professor. Said that HOA may make reasonable restrictions on how you can organize the solar panels on the roofs, provided that it does not increase the cost of installation or reduce the efficiency of the panels. The new law is very clear that an association shall not prevent the installation or use of a solar energy device. An association may adopt reasonable rules regarding the placement of solar panels if those rules do not prevent installation, compromise or efficiency of a device or restrict its use or adversely affect the cost or efficiency of the device.
My opinion is that there is a bright future in Arizona real estate with solar energy. Having solar panels on the roofs of the houses only will increase the value of the homes to those who do not have panels; the public has spoken and wants energy cleaner and more convenient. Homeowners who are looking for ways to save money, you can make monthly savings with solar panels that help their warmth, water and electrical appliances. Alternative energy and real estate go hand in hand.
